Based on the earlier mid-'50s Strat pickup, that was a little louder and warmer than the '60s versions. True single coil tone with staggered Alnico 5 poles and a specific coil wind that adds punch and depth without sacrificing top end.  They are great for country, classic rock, blues and pop – in fact anything where you want a rich, warm, loud Strat pickup. They even retain clarity at lower volumes, back off the tone and you get detail without muddiness.
