"Galina" the '50s T-Type

"Galina" the '50s T-Type

£2,700.00Price

Aged Sherwood Green metallic and maple with a “Firebird” mini-humbucker and "Broadcaster" pickups make "Galina" sound as cool as she looks.

Built primarily to showcase our “Broadcaster” style early ‘50s inspired single coil bridge pickup, “Galina” is a combination of lightweight build, solid hardware and our open-sounding, transparent pickups that create a unique tone - both resonant and focussed, that allows the player to find their own voice and to craft truly musical tones.

She's a worn T-Type built from a lightweight paulownia body with a sleek, one-piece maple neck. The body is based on an early ‘50s broadcaster with router hump and small radius edge round-overs and finished in a gloriously aged Sherwood Green metallic nitro. The neck is a beautifully carved “C” shape with a vintage correct 7.25” radius and black dot markers but with jumbo frets for effortless playability.

Our own “Firebird-style” mini-humbucker in an aged nickel cover sits in the neck position to offer a depth and warmth that many standard T-Type neck pickups lack, with our punchy ’Broadcaster' singlecoil in the bridge.

Elsewhere we have Gotoh hardware with split-post tuners and an ashtray bridge with three brass saddles. Electronics are our usual top-notch CTS brass collar pots, a CRL three-way selector switch and a Switchcraft plate jack-socket in an electrosocket to ensure trouble free jack life.
