Built initially as an tonal experiment, this S-Type is based on a mid '50s design with a nitro two-tone 'burst, big non-taper one-piece maple neck and our 'Timeless' single coil vintage-voiced pickups, but instead of the usual ash body we've used lightweight pine. The result is a surprisingly resonant and lively yet compressed tone - perfect for those clean Buddy Holly or early Dire Straits moments...
