Originally built as a lightweight, PAF-loaded Thinline T-Type, “Ruby” quickly found herself in the hands of British blues-rock powerhouse @aynsleylister, who loved her feel but wanted more tonal flexibility for his high-energy live rig.
We gave “Ruby” a full tone transplant — swapping her PAF Replicas for a pair of our Dreamer P90s (humbucker-sized, hand-wound, and full of clarity), added individual volume controls, moved the three-way toggle to the upper horn for easier access, and reintroduced a master tone control. The result? A thinline with fire, finesse and fatness — just like its new owner.
The Sound
Originally voiced for warm, open PAF tones, “Ruby” now snarls and sings thanks to a pair of our Dreamer P90s — humbucker-sized single-coils that blend chime, midrange grit and sweetness in equal measure. Ideal for modern blues, classic rock, and dynamic rhythm work, this upgrade gives the guitar a new identity without losing her core voice.
