Vintage-Inspired Construction
The Timeless '63 set is built using traditional materials and construction techniques associated with original early-1960s pickups.
Both pickups feature height-staggered, non-bevelled Alnico 5 magnets, lacquer-insulated fibre flatwork and individually hand scatter-wound coils using vintage-correct Plain Enamel wire.
The bridge pickup is wound with 42 AWG Plain Enamel to produce the perfect balance of sweetness, sparkle and unmistakable T-Type bite.
The neck pickup, wound with 43 AWG Plain Enamel, delivers a wonderfully warm, woody voice with exceptional clarity, rich harmonic detail and remarkable articulation.
Construction follows original early-'60s practice, with the bridge pickup receiving traditional light black wax potting for dependable stage performance, while the neck pickup is lacquer dipped after winding, stabilising the coil whilst preserving the wonderfully open, airy character that made these pickups so distinctive.
Together they create a beautifully balanced set that remains lively, expressive and exceptionally responsive beneath your fingers.
