“Paloma” is a ‘59 inspired S-Type built with a lightweight ash body in a striking aged three-tone nitro sunburst finish. The neck is a medium C-shaped profile with a slab rosewood ‘board with the correct truss-rod adjuster placement, clay dot markers and jumbo frets across the 7.25”” radius for a vintage-enhanced playing feel. The worn and tinted lacquer on the rear of the neck and rounded fingerboard edges lends a wonderful, broken in playing feel.
The tuners are double-line Kluson with the wonderful Callaham vibrato/bridge for stable tuning with an arm that stays where you put it and without any distracting wiggling and noise. Our usual highest quality CTS, Switchcraft and CRL electronic components sit beneath the full-sized aluminium shielding and aged, mint green pickguard. The distinctive, Texas heartbeat comes from our own Heavy Formvar wound “Timeless ’59” pickup set with the addition of a steel baseplate on the bridge pickup for a little extra punch where it's needed most.
